Recycled HDPE Composite Pen Turning Blanks [Replay]

The base material of these pen turning blanks are high density polyethylene vitamin and pill bottles (#2 plastic resin code). These small bottles are not accepted by our local recycling system, so we collect them from pharmacies, shred then with the labels on, and then melt and mix them with other colors of shredded HDPE to make the unique turning blanks you see in this listing. The tiny bits of paper label and sparkly foil embedded in the plastic provide intriguing texture and visual interest.

Each blank has a cross section of approximately 3/4 inch and is a minimum of 5 inches long.
